Creating an Atmosphere for the Gospel

Monday, March 8th, 2010

In 2 Tim. 4:5 Paul charges Timothy to “do the work of an evangelist“.  The way to help the young people is to help them in the area of the gospel.  Our work must be positive for propogation rather than defensive for preparation.  For more on this burden and view, please see Messages in Spring 2010 for Parents and Serving Ones which is recently updated.

The Urgent Need to Learn the Truth

I hope that all the saints, especially the young people, would learn the truth in this way.

The advantage of a school education is that every thing and every matter are given precise definitions, so that we can learn the proper definitions for things that we know only in a general way.

Every saint in every church should be educated in the truth…. However we should not open a school to teach the Bible.  Rather, Bible education should be carried out in the homes. The parents, the older generation, should teach the children, the younger generation…. Although the church is not a school but a family, it still needs to carry out the function of teaching.  We should receive education in the church, not in the way of school education but in the way of home education–parents teaching the older brothers and sisters, and the older brothers and sisters teaching the younger ones.

So from now on, we have to change our family tradition.

Propagating the Truth to the Homes and Expecting the Revival of the Church

All the saints among us should have the life-studies on display everywhere in their homes, such as on the coffee table and the nightstand.  In this way, the atmosphere of pursuing the truth will flourish among the saints.

Today the reason that the gospel of the Lord cannot be spread is that we do not know the truth.  The truth is the gospel.  If we speak the truth in every place, we are in fact preaching the gospel in every place.

If the saints have the life-study messages everywhere in their homes, their spiritual condition will be greatly revived.  If they have the Lord’s word, it will be impossible for them not to be revived.
